Bliss Point

From Chasing Rainbows to
Manifesting Dreams

ABOUT THE BOOK

Are you tired of Chasing Rainbows?

The illusion that happiness lies on the other side of the next achievement, purchase, relationship or location.

We project ourselves into a fantasy world where all is well once we…

What we are usually unaware of is that these rainbows we are chasing are controlling us. We are at their mercy!

We receive that Dopamine hit, a brief feeling of elation that soon passes, leaving us feeling that; well, maybe that wasn’t it after all. So, we invent the next proverbial “pot-of-gold” and we do it all over again. Sounds a little like the definition of crazy… Yes?

Are you ready to stop acting crazy and start manifesting your dreams?

Sharing stories from points along the path, Jala takes us on both her outer and inner journey to Bliss Point. These stories will demonstrate the power of intention and vision in creating your own reality. You will find the tools that Jala uses to open the space in which manifesting can occur.

We are all on our own journey and the journey to Bliss Point has been one woven with good times and challenges, happiness and heartache. Through it all, it was her practices, her sense of humor and the people in her life that kept her centered, strong and most importantly, kind.

And so now at Bliss Point… she is Blissful, life feels effortless, an expression of joy rather than the pursuit of happiness.

So, if you are wondering:

Why am I here?

What is the point?

Read on and you just might find…

Perhaps Bliss is The Point!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jala Ananda Mohnkern

After spending years chasing the rainbows of corporate success, the house, the family, the dogs, the cats, the car, or the next shiny thing, she was left feeling exhausted more than anything else. Although she appeared “successful”, she had even exceeded her own goals, she lacked the sense of fulfillment she had assumed would come with these achievements.

Curious as to how there were people in the world, whether a janitor or CEO, that were actually happy.

Not Facebook happy, but genuinely happy, with life just as it was. And would continue to be happy, regardless of what happened or who knew about it.

It didn’t take much investigating to reveal the one thing they all had in common, some type of meditation or contemplation practice. Consistent, dedicated time where they went within, to seek answers in stillness and silence, rather than always seeking for them out there.

This was a completely new concept to her.

Launching an exploration into the inner landscape, she devoured books covering topics of things she didn’t even know, she didn’t know. She began to practice yoga, qi gong and many different types of meditation, including a 10-day silent Vipassana course in 2019. Immersing herself in anything that would get her closer to uncovering all that resided within, she began to see the evidence of this inner work manifesting in her life, further fueling her curiosity and enthusiasm.

As her knowledge and experience with the Inner World grew, she began to realize the power of her thoughts.

She became very conscious of every thought she was thinking. As she became more aware, she stopped allowing negativity to just have its way with her and she began to see her life change.

By consciously replacing negative thoughts with kinder ones, her inner dialogue began to change, not drastically at first, but enough for her to notice a new lightness. From the more loving inner dialogue emerged a change in her outer dialogue. Her speech became softer, her sense of humor went from a sharp sometimes hurtful sarcasm to more lighthearted expressions of love, that were so out of the ordinary they made people laugh.

Although inspired by the stories of the courageous ones, that sold all their belongings and made the big leap, this would not be the way for her. As a single mom, she needed to come up with a better option. As she got better at listening to her inner voice, the quiet whisper of wisdom, and trusting her intuition, she took a few mini leaps. Steps away from external success to devote more time to developing her inner practice.

Then in 2023, she took the big leap. Walking away from a 30-year career as a pharmacist to shift focus to a more holistic approach to healthy living. Her passion is to raise the awareness that a healthy lifestyle can be full of fun and flavor!

The joy that comes from living good and feeling great also promotes longevity and vitality.

Win – Win!

Reinventing herself as Jala (which means water in Sanskrit), she currently flows with life at Bliss Point in The Berkshires of Western Massachusetts.

Because after all, maybe, just maybe

Bliss is The Point… Baby!
